Transurb expands its international ERTMS expertise with Eurostar and NCRTC

Transurb has been awarded two new signalling projects by Eurostar International Limited (EIL) and the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).

Context

Within the framework of the Belgian Royal Decree of October 2018, which requires the compliance of ETCS on-board equipment with the baseline 2.3.0, EIL decided to upgrade its ETCS on-board unit to baseline 3.4.0.

As for NCRTC, the high-speed commuter Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) is to be implemented on a total of 8 new corridors linking Delhi to its surroundings.

Transurb Mission

Transurb will help Eurostar complete its project by providing technical follow-up and a Contract Manager to assist in the baseline migration with the following points:

  • Management plan including planning, scope of work, spending, delivery and progress reports
  • Contract reviews
  • Risk management
  • Stakeholder coordination

Likewise, NCRTC has appointed Transurb to provide comprehensive signalling services for the implementation of the first corridor of RRTS. These services include the finalisation of broad, draft functional detailed and technical detailed specifications for Signalling and Telecommunication as well as the preparation of testing procedures.
