ERTMS advisory for Europorte and Beacon Rail in France

Transurb is assisting Europorte and Beacon Rail in retrofitting their locomotives with the European Rail Traffic Management System.

CONTEXT

Europorte and Beacon Rail are seeking technical assistance to equip a fleet of 10 Euro 4000 Vossloh Diesel locomotives with ETCS, with the aim to keep these locomotives running in Belgium, France and Germany. The national KVB, TBL+ and PZB systems will therefore have to be taken into consideration.

TRANSURB MISSION

Transurb will provide assistance to Europorte and Beacon Rail regarding the first phase of the project, which consists in:

Defining a migration strategy for the retrofit of the Euro4000 fleet with ETCS
Preparing comprehensive technical specifications for the retrofit contract
Delivering a technical benchmark to give Europorte an in-depth view of available technologies/manufacturers.

Transurb will assist them until the definition of the technical solution.
