Assistance in ERTMS Safety Management in Germany

Transurb was called to provide technical assistance regarding ERTMS to Alstom Transport. The mission covers the preparation of safety document reviews needed for an Independent Safety Assessment (ISA).

Context

As part of the ongoing project with WSW Mobil GmbH in Wuppertal (Germany), Alstom Transport desired to prove its compliance with ISA requirements in terms of Safety Management.

The signalling project currently being executed by Alstom consists of the installation of ERTMS (level 2) on the Wuppertal Schwebebahn monorail line.

Transurb Mission

Transurb will assist Alstom with:

  • verification and update of safety documents
  • safety analyses
  • hazard log and safety case preparation
